Learn language by doing!

Learner Stories

Our Rotorua centre’s ‘hands on’ language-learning classes are based on the concept, ‘Where the hands go, the mind follows.’

These classes have proved very popular with learners.

By using crochet, scrapbooking and painting as ways for learners to discover word associations between the material used and directions given by teachers. With all parts of the brain engaged, and with language embedded into everyday activities, learning becomes more consolidated and it’s much more useful, of course! Practical learning with a practical purpose – a great, enjoyable way to learn.

Here’s a few lovely photos showing how much fun it was.
