IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test scores are accepted as proof of English language ability at thousands of universities, colleges and workplaces around the world, and by immigration authorities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK.

This programme is best suited to learners who have an intermediate level of English or above and are nearly ready to sit an IELTS test
You will learn about the format of the exam and practise doing IELTS tests.
The IELTS programme is taught by experienced and qualified teachers. The programme is delivered online, and all classes are interactive, so you won’t be left to study on your own. You’ll meet people from all around New Zealand and make new friends.
Two IELTS courses are free for New Zealand residents and citizens.
The IELTS speaking and writing course is not free. It costs $94.50 per learner which covers the costs associated with marking written work outside of class time and giving feedback on written work to all learners.
You must have an intermediate level of English to enroll in an IELTS course.
We will test your English and let you know if you are eligible.
You will study for nine weeks (18 hours of class time). Each week you will be in class with your teacher and classmates for 90 minutes. You will also have 30 minutes of homework each week. There are some assignments during the term and a one-to-one meeting with your teacher to discuss your progress.
Enrolment is closed for 2024 classes. Classes start again in 2025 and the timetable will be available in January.

This foundation course is for people who want to improve their English and hope to do the IELTS test in the future and get Target score 5.5 to 6. Help writing more complex sentences and improve vocabulary range, fluency and pronunciation in your speaking.

Our courses vary in length. It depends on the course. Many are 8 weeks, others can vary between 2 and 18 weeks long.

Yes. We have courses for people who work during the day and want to study in the evening.
You will learn the English you need to live independently in New Zealand. Our courses help people with daily life, finding work, and future study. We will help you communicate in Kiwi English. You can also learn about Kiwi culture.
Yes. In some centres. We sometimes offer online IELTS classes too.
All levels. Courses are from beginner to advanced levels. We assess your level before placing you in a course. If a course at your level is not immediately available, we will place you on a class waitlist.
Yes. Some courses have a specific grammar focus. Other courses include grammar as part of the course content.
Most of our courses are part-time. Some are two hours each week, other courses are longer – up to 10 hours. You can join more than one class.
You need a reliable internet connection, a camera and a microphone.
